Wanderlust Wednesday: Belize

Belize is a small country in Central America, often forgotten about after Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. It was originally part of the British Empire, and remains the only country in the area with English as the official language. The Maya Civilisation spread over what is now Belize and many Mayan ruins remains.

Belize also has more than 200 islands or cayes to visit – tropical paradise.

And the famous Great Blue Hole, a sinkhole off the coast of Belize.
